A car insurance policy is also referred to as a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). This document provides information about the product on offer, full details of your policy cover, benefits and conditions. Most importantly, your car insurance policy will detail your cover for:

  • Accidental loss or damage to your car
  • Legal liability
  • Excesses – the excesses that may apply to your policy
  • Additional benefits
  • Premium benefits
  • Claims and claims processes

It is a condition that you read the entire policy before accepting the agreement.
