This is an information service. By browsing on the website and/or using our search tools, you are asking RateCity to provide you with information about Credit Cards from multiple financial institutions. We will try to show you a range of products in response to your request for information. The search results do not include all providers, for further details refer to our FSCG. We are not a credit provider, and in giving you product information we are not making any suggestion or recommendation to you about a particular credit product. If you decide to apply for a Credit Card, you will deal directly with a financial institution, and not with RateCity.

Introductory Rates

Many credit cards offer introductory rates for interest charged on balance transfers. What this means is that a credit card provider will charge you a smaller interest rate than its advertised rate for a certain period of time, hence introductory rates. Some credit cards offer no interest for a period of time. For example, it could be for three or six months, which is still classified as an introductory rate because of the brief time frame it is available.

There is usually a catch to introductory rates, which is to transfer your debts from other credit cards onto another credit card provider. Be careful when comparing introductory rates for credit cards at RateCity to make sure you understand the time frame the rate is available and any fees and charges associated with the card.
