Hunter United was formed in 1963 as the BHP (Newcastle) Employees’ Credit Union and is now Australia’s largest locally-based member-owned credit union.

Hunter United has its headquarters in Broadmeadow, NSW and branches around the Newcastle and Hunter region. It offers a range of financial products and services that include savings accounts, home and personal loans, credits cards, investment accounts as well as superannuation and retirement funds.
