ANZ cuts interest rates

ANZ has increased the special offer discount for eligible customers of its Simplicity PLUS home loan package.

As of today, the discount has increased from 0.52 percentage points to 0.56 percentage points.

Simplicity PLUS is currently priced at 4.55 per cent, or 3.99 per cent with the discount.

This offer is available only to owner-occupiers who take out principal-and-interest loans.

It applies to new Simplicity PLUS loans of at least $50,000 submitted from 3 November onwards.

Mortgagees who refinance from other lenders are eligible from the discount, but borrowers who refinance within ANZ are not.

There are currently 531 owner-occupier loans priced under 4 per cent on RateCity’s database. The lowest variable rate is Reduce Home Loans’ Rate Buster Standard Variable, which has an advertised and comparison rate of 3.39 per cent.
