In 1991 a new subsidiary was founded in Cyprus to service the needs of Cypriot businessmen. Over the next 17 years the organisation expanded its operations throughout Greece, The US, Serbia and most recently to the United Kingdom and Australia. Today this institution is known as Laiki Bank. The Laiki Group has retained its dynamism and international presence throughout this transitional period whilst ensuring a positive outlook for its customers, staff and shareholders. By itself The Group has over 100 years of experience in the financial sector. Laiki Bank introduction of internet banking and EFTPOS facilities have been well received in Australia alongside several of their home loan and savings account products.
