Bendigo SmartOptions Pension is a sub-plan of The Bendigo Superannuation Plan which was established in 1988. The Bendigo SmartOptions product range includes a superannuation and pension product designed to provide members with flexibility to actively manage their super investment.

Bendigo SmartOptions Pension offers members an investment menu consisting of managed funds (including annuity funds), a cash product, term deposits and S&P/ASX 200 listed securities. Past performance of the fund is not readily available and therefore cannot be accurately measured against the relevant SuperRatings Indices.

Fees are relatively high across small and medium account balances due to a minimum administration fee of $480, while a tiered administration fee applies for account balances over $250,000. There are no exit fees and members can switch between investment options at no cost.

Bendigo SmartOptions Pension offers a good level of flexibility, including 4 pension payment frequencies and an ability to have pension payments adjusted to the CPI or by a certain percentage. Beneficiary options available include binding nominations, as well as reversionary beneficiary, including child nominations
