No ATM fees

With new RBA reforms, every time you make a withdraw or check your balance at an ATM other than your own bank's, you will be charged a fee by the ATM. In addition, your bank will charge you an extra fee for using a 'foreign bank'.

Customers who will be hit hard by these new fees are now looking to avoid them by switching to a range of transaction accounts with no ATM fees.

Accounts such as NAB's Gold Banking transaction account offer unlimited free ATM transactions for a monthly fee, while Bankwest has the Zero Transaction account with no fees, but a minimum monthly deposit requirement.

Otherwise, the only way to avoid ATM fees is to stick to your own bank's ATMs. This is harder done than said, and most people often end up using foreign ATMs out of desperation and convenience.

Below is a list of transaction accounts with no account keeping fees .
