Victoria Teachers CU is owned and operated by its members who each vote and have an active part in the decision making process of the organisations operations. Founded in 1972 Victoria Teachers Credit Union opened its doors with only $480. Since then the credit union has grown considerably and now manages more than $900 million in assets. Its members share a sense of community and commitment to contribute to the organisation’s continual success and provision of financial services and flexible products. All profits made are reinvested into the Credit Union to benefit its members. 30 years after its inception Victoria Teachers Credit Union continues to provide value to its members and the education community. It remains the only financial institution in Victoria that provides financial services and support to people working in the education sector.
