Comparing frequent flyer credit cards

Bonus credit card points on sign up can be a generous reward offered to eligible customers looking for a new credit card. But it’s important to keep in mind that there is more to a credit card than the bonus points on offer.

Ensure you compare interest charges, as well as fees and the number of interest free days provided by the card issuer before you sign up. You may also want to compare other perks, such as complimentary travel insurances, medical coverage, rental car insurance and more, particularly for international travellers.

Consider looking at the fine print or speaking to a representative from the card issuer to note whether they offer coverage in the event of Covid-related flight or accommodation cancellations.
