The ANZ Staff Super Account Based Pension, offered in the ANZ Australian Staff Superannuation Scheme, commenced in 2003 and provides retirement benefits to all previous full-time and part-time employees of ANZ in Australia and their spouse. A minimum initial investment of $25,000 is required to be eligible for this product. The fund offers a basic investment menu of 3 Diversified options and a Cash option. The Balanced Growth option outperformed the SuperRatings Index over the 3, 7- and 10-year time periods to 30 June 2020. ANZ Staff Super's fees are competitive and lower than the industry average across all account balances assessed. Members can switch investment options at no cost. The ANZ Staff Super Account Based Pension provides reasonable product flexibility, with members having the ability to receive pension payments monthly through to annually. Pension payments are made directly to the member's nominated bank account on the date set by the fund. Members can nominate a drawdown strategy or have their pension payments drawn proportionately from their investment options. Beneficiary options include binding and non-binding nominations, as well as reversionary pensions. ANZ Staff Super provides members with access to financial planning services and the ability to view their account details and perform transactions online.
