Commonwealth Bank Group Super Retirement Access was established in 2000 to provide for the retirement needs of employees of the Commonwealth Bank Group. The fund is only available to current and former employees, as well as their spouses. A minimum initial investment of $20,000 is required to commence membership.Commonwealth Bank Group Super offers an investment menu of 4 Diversified options and a Cash option. The Balanced option underperformed the relevant SuperRatings Index over the 10 years to 30 June 2020; however, outperformed over the 1-year period.Fees are lower than the industry average across all account balances assessed. The fund does not charge an investment switching fee or a buy-sell spread.Commonwealth Bank Group Super Retirement Access offers a reasonable level of pension flexibility, with members able to select from fortnightly through to annual payment frequencies. Members with more than one investment option can nominate the proportion of, or order in which, payments are to be drawn from each option. Commonwealth Bank Group Super allows members to make a non-lapsing binding death benefit nomination. A range of online tools, calculators and educational resources are available through the fund's website. Online access and transaction facilities are available through the member account tool FirstNet, while members' account balances are also visible within Commonwealth Bank's NetBank and Mobile App.
