Established in 1995, Perpetual WealthFocus Pension Plan offers a flexible retirement solution to help members achieve their retirement goals. Effective 1 March 2019, the Perpetual WealthFocus Wholesale Pension Plan was consolidated into the Perpetual WealthFocus Pension Plan. There is a minimum investment of $20,0000 required to commence membership of this product.Members can choose from over 40 Diversified and Single-Sector investment options and from more than 15 investment managers. The Balanced Growth option underperformed the SuperRatings Index over the 10 year period to 30 June 2019.Fees associated with this product are higher than the industry average across all account balances assessed; however, an investment fee rebate is available for eligible members based on the individual investment options selected. There are no investment switching fees charged, although changing investment options may incur transactional costs.A good level of pension flexibility is provided. Members are provided with a choice of payment frequencies ranging from twice monthly to annually and can elect payment dates from a range of dates set by the fund. Members with more than one investment option can nominate the proportion of, or order in which, payments are to be drawn from each option. Pension payments can be automatically increased by a nominated percentage or by the CPI annually. Beneficiary options include binding, non-binding and reversionary pension nominations. The Pension Refresh Facility provides an easy way for members to consolidate their existing pension account balance with any additional accrued superannuation benefits. Perpetual's website is easy to navigate and mobile responsive, featuring a News and Insights centre, which contains regular investment market updates, product news, topical research and other educational information.
