Summary

REI Super was established in 1975 to service the retirement needs of members employed within the real estate industry. The fund is a public offer fund and allows members from all industries to apply for membership. REI Super Pension offers four diversified investment options including: Growth, Balanced, Stable and Premium Income, as well as six single sector options: Australian Shares, International Shares, Australian Property, Global Property, Bonds and Cash. The Balanced option underperformed the relevant SuperRatings Index over all assessed time periods to 30 June 2019.Fees are lower than the industry average across all account balances assessed. The fund does not charge switching fees, although a buy-sell spread may apply. A fee rebate of 0.28% is also available for members who have an account balance of $300,000 or more.REI Super Pension offers a good level of pension flexibility, with members able to select from monthly, quarterly and yearly payment frequencies. Members with more than one investment option can nominate the proportion of payments to be drawn from each option. Members can also select from binding death nomination, non-binding death nomination or reversionary beneficiary nomination.Members have access to a comprehensive range of educational materials and financial planning services, as well as industry news and discounted banking products through ME Bank. The fund regularly conducts information seminars nationwide to ensure members are well informed on their retirement needs.
