Summary

The OneSuper ( formerly Smartsave 'Member's Choice' Superannuation Master Plan) was established in 2001. MAP Pension is a sub-plan of OneSuper via a Successor Fund Transfer completed in December 2020. A minimum initial investment of $20,000 is required to commence a MAP Pension account, and a Transition to Retirement Pension is also available.Members are offered an investment menu, consisting of 4 Diversified and 3 Single-Sector investment options. The Growth option underperformed the SuperRatings Index over each time period assessed to 30 June 2020. Fees for this product are lower than the industry average across all account balances assessed. The percentage-based administration fee is subject to a minimum of $150 p.a. or reduces as the account size grows with a cap of over $1.5 million. Additionally, partners discount allows members to link their accounts with their partner’s and have the administration fee calculated on the combined balance. An investment switching fee of 0.40% per switch applies after four free switches per annum.A reasonable level of pension flexibility is provided, including a choice of 4 pension payment frequencies ranging from monthly to annually. Members with more than one investment option are eligible to nominate a fixed proportion of payments to be drawn from each option. Beneficiary options are comprehensive, including both binding and non-binding nominations, as well as reversionary pensions.Members can access intra fund financial advice through a specialist financial planning company, MGD Wealth, appointed by the fund. Member Online Access further allows members to manage their accounts and perform transactions such as switching investment options.
