ANZ Smart Choice Super is an easy, low-cost superannuation product that was established in December 2011. ANZ Smart Choice provides members the option to choose their own investment mix from 3 multi-asset class options and 7 single-asset options, or to invest in a Lifestage investment option, which automatically adjusts the investment mix with a higher allocation to less volatile investments as members approach retirement. The 1960's option outperformed the SuperRatings Index over the year to 30 June 2019. Fees are competitive and lower than the industry average across all account balances assessed. Members are able to switch investment options free of charge.ANZ Smart Choice offers good flexibility, with members having the ability to receive payments monthly through to annually on any business day of the week. Members with more than one investment option can nominate the order in which payments are to be drawn from each option. Furthermore, eligible ANZ Smart Choice Pension account members automatically receive Lifestage Death Insurance Cover upon joining the fund. Beneficiary options include reversionary, lump sum and non-lapsing binding death benefit nomination. Members are provided the ability to track their super account online via the ANZ app, alongside online banking, share investing and insurance. ANZ Internet Banking further allows members to view and update their super account details, as well as perform transactions. Educational articles and videos are also on offer via the ANZ SuperInsights digital magazine.
