The IAG & NRMA Superannuation Plan is an employer sponsored super fund for current and former employees of IAG and NRMA as well as their spouses. The fund is MySuper authorised and uses the existing Growth option as the default MySuper offering. The fund's MySuper option outperformed the SuperRatings Index over the 10 years to 30 June 2018; however, underperformed over the shorter term. Fees for this product are lower than the industry average across medium and large account balances assessed, while higher for the small account balance assessed. Switches are free of charge, while an exit fee applies for withdrawals.A full insurance suite of insurance cover is available, with automatic Death & TPD cover available to eligible members upon joining the fund. Members can apply for additional voluntary cover, up to a maximum of $10 million for Death cover and $3 million for TPD cover. Income Protection (IP) covers up to 85% of a member’s salary over a 2 year benefit period, following a 4 or 12 week waiting period. Additional benefits paid under an IP policy include rehabilitation expense, workplace modification, family carer, bereavement and emergency transportation benefits.Online account access allows members to manage their account and perform transactions, including updating their personal details and changing their investment options. The fund sends regular superannuation and market updates to members who have provided their email address.
