Tas Gas offers multiple payment options that simplify paying your bills on time. You can pay a fixed amount weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly. The amount you pay is determined based on your estimated usage, ensuring the payments are within your financial budget. Tas Gas Retail reviews your account annually or when you make a request for review. If there is any discrepancy between the estimates and your actual usage, you’ll need to pay the difference, or Tas Gas will credit any excess amount paid.
If you’re on Centrelink, you can organise for part of the government payment to go towards your Tas Gas bill. You may find this a convenient way to ensure timely bill payments to avoid late payment fees.
You can pay your bill via the following methods:
- Direct debit: Just nominate the financial institution and bank account you wish to have your bill debited from. You’ll receive a quarterly bill for your records, and your account will be debited on the due date. You can also choose the frequency of payments, such as fortnightly or monthly.
- BPAY: This is a quick and efficient payment method using the biller code 120246 and your customer number, which also appears on your bill. To pay via BPAY, you log into your internet banking, enter the BPAY details and pay the bill using a cheque or savings account or credit card. This facility is available every day of the week but may take a few days to clear.
- Credit card: You can use your credit card to pay your bill by either calling the Tas Gas contact number 1300 313 346 or online via the website. Accepted credit cards include all Visa and MasterCard; transaction fees may apply.

If your financial circumstances change, Tas Gas Retail offers a short-term, one-off payment extension. This extension can help you with short-term relief if unexpected circumstances make it difficult for you to pay your bill on time. Make sure you get your application for relief in early so that your approval for an extension comes before the bill due date. This will help you avoid late penalties.
To arrange for a longer payment plan, you can contact Tas Gas Retail on 1800 750 750 or apply online via the website. Tas Gas Retail will work with you to work out a repayment plan that allows you to pay the bill in smaller amounts. You can also apply for an extension of 10 days if you require extra time to pay the bill.
