Benchmark investment information - how performance is measured
To ensure comparability for consumers, the RateCity superannuation comparison is based on the asset allocation of each of the MySuper/Pension products, irrespective of the name of the investment option. This methodology allows consumers to compare products on a like for like basis and removes any ambiguities associated with the name of the investment option. For example, an investment option may be classified as growth, however its asset allocation may in fact mean it should be classified as high growth. By using the asset allocation as the dominant identifier, we believe this provides the most robust framework for consumers to compare funds and recognise that this is a consistent approach to that of SuperRatings methodology.

BUSSQ was established in 1985 to provide superannuation services to employees in the Queensland building and construction industry. The fund opened to all Australian employees after achieving public offer status in 2006.
BUSSQ's MySuper offering consists exclusively of the default Balanced Growth option, which aims to exceed the Consumer Price Index by 4% per annum. The default Balanced Growth option has outperformed the SuperRatings Index over the past 5 years. Choice members can gain access to a further 10 investment options in the Premium Choice product.
Fees are rated as average across all account balances assessed. Charges apply for withdrawals and terminating an account.
Death and Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) insurance is available to members, up to a maximum of $2 million. Automatic cover is provided, dependent on the member's age and occupation. No Income Protection insurance is available with this product, however cover can be accessed through Construction Income Protection Queensland.
