About Nexus Mutual credit cards

Nexus Mutual provides fewer credit card options than larger banks in Australia, but offers both low-rate and platinum cards to suit a wide range of customers. Nexus Mutual’s offering does not include frequent flyer or travel credit cards.

Because Nexus Mutual is owned by its members rather than shareholders, it is able to provide customers with reasonably low rates and fees, particularly within their low rate options. Nexus Mutual credit card rates range from very low to moderately high, depending on the card you choose. In general, rewards and platinum customers pay higher interest rates.

Nexus Mutual credit cards include an interest-free period ranging from no interest-free days to a moderate number of interest-free days.

Nexus Mutual credit card fees also vary, with annual fees ranging from moderately low to moderate. Customers are subject to a low late payment fee.

Nexus Mutual credit cards review

Nexus Mutual offers both low-rate and platinum credit cards, making its offering potentially suitable for both budget and rewards-seeking customers. Budget customers will enjoy an introductory balance transfer offer, which allows card holders to transfer existing debt to a new account. However, those who struggle to pay their debt in full each month should consider the interest-free period on Nexus Mutual low-rate credit cards.

Nexus Mutual provides platinum options for customers who want to earn rewards as they spend. Rewards cards issued by Nexus Mutual include a cashback rewards scheme. Nexus Mutual rewards card customers also gain access to Visa Platinum Concierge Service and a range of complimentary insurance policies, such as overseas travel insurance.

All Nexus Mutual credit cards are accepted worldwide and are automatically enrolled in Verified by Visa for additional online security.
