Coles Supermarkets now offer Coles comprehensive car insurance

On July 27, 2010 Coles Supermarkets expanded their product range to include comprehensive car insurance as well as third party property damage and third party fire. This new range is underwritten by Wesfarmers General Insurance who are also the underwriter for another new player to enter the market, Kmart Car Insurance.

Coles are offering their comprehensive car insurance customers triple the existing 4 cents per litre off fuel voucher once per month for a year, plus Flybuys points for the policy purchase, a discount of 5 percent if you purchase online in the first year and your groceries are covered if they are damaged in a collision.

While the quotes are competitive in comparison, you will have to pay $64 extra if you want to include options such as car hire or one excess free windscreen claim, however many car insurance companies do charge extra to include these in your policy.

Find out how your premium compares to other insurance brands by visiting our car insurance page or check out the table below which shows which brands offer comprehensive car insurance on RateCity.
