How to Join Qantas Frequent Flyer for Free - RateCity

During the Qantas Frequent Flyer sign-up process, you may be shocked by the membership fee of $99.50 you need to pay to access all the frequent flyer benefits. However, there are several ways you can join the program without shelling out even a single cent.

How to join Qantas Frequent Flyer for free?

There are multiple ways you can join Qantas Frequent Flyer for free. The easiest and most convenient method involves accessing a complimentary code and using it to sign up directly on the Qantas website.

Once you’ve entered the code, you just need to fill out the application form on the Qantas Frequent Flyer website and accept all the terms and conditions to obtain your free membership. Upon completing your application form, you’ll get your membership number instantly. You can then use it to start earning Qantas points right away.

Besides using a code, there are many other ways you can join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program for free. Below are a few ways you can get your free membership.

Qantas credit card

When you sign up for a Qantas-points earning credit card (whether it be American Express, Visa, or Mastercard), you’re offered the frequent flyer membership free. You may find there is a slightly higher annual fee, but you won’t have to pay the membership fee for Qantas Frequent Flyer. On top of this, a few of these cards also come with a generous amount of bonus Qantas points when you first sign up.

Woolworths Everyday Rewards

If you’re a member of Woolworths Everyday Rewards, then you can easily sign up for a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership for free. The Woolworths Everyday Rewards program lets you earn points for purchases made at Woolworths supermarkets and other retailers that accept the Woolworths Everyday Rewards card.

Woolworths has a partnership with the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. This partnership allows you to transfer your Woolworths reward points to Qantas points or use them to get a discount on your shop. Under this scheme, 2,000 Woolworths points translate to 1,000 Qantas points.

Luxury Escapes

In Australia and other parts of the world, Luxury Escapes is well-recognized for offering attractive holiday packages. You may also get a free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership by linking your Luxury Escapes account and your Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts. Check the website for more details.

Joey Club

With the help of the Joey Club program, children of any age can sign up for the Qantas Frequent Flyer program for free. This program offers a variety of resources and activities to enhance the travelling experience of kids.

Joey Club members receive Qantas points on hotel stays, flight bookings, and more. A welcome pack is given to the kids aged 3-11 who sign up for the Frequent Flyer program. This pack includes their own Joey Club passport.

Qantas Money

Qantas offers a prepaid travel money card that can be loaded with various global currencies and used for making payments on your trips overseas. All you have to do is fill out an application on the Qantas website, and you’ll get a complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership with your travel card.

You’ll also be able to access the Qantas Money app with your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number. The app helps you keep track of all your cards and also rewards you with points for your shopping.

Qantas Wellbeing app

Qantas Wellbeing is a free app that rewards you for taking care of your health and staying fit. It offers Qantas points to users for completing workouts, meeting their sleep and steps goals in a day.

If you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer member and 13 years or older, you can use the Qantas Wellbeing app for earning additional frequent flyer points. If you don’t have a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, you could sign up for it through the Qantas Wellbeing app and have the membership fee waived.

Switching to Red Energy

Red Energy is an energy provider servicing residents in NSW, Victoria, SA, QLD and the ACT. They have a partnership that allows customers of Red Energy to access a free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership

However, as attractive as this may be, you should compare your current energy plan with the ones offered by Red Energy before switching for the free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. It’s unlikely to make financial sense to switch energy providers just for a free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, so ensure you do the research. You want to ensure you’re getting the best value for your money.

The Qantas Frequent Flyer program offers a range of rewards, including earning status credits and points that can help you pay for flights or hotels. Gaining free membership to the program means you can access all the program’s benefits without the hefty application fee.
