Who is it good for?

The Suncorp Gold credit card is best suited to card holders who spend regularly on their card and pay their balance in full each month. It may also be a good fit for potential customers who want plenty of variety in their rewards program, as this card awards points that can be redeemed for a wide range of products and perks.

The Suncorp Bank Gold card is not necessarily well suited to budget card holders. The card’s high interest rates could become costly for customers who don’t pay their bill in full and on time every month. The moderately high annual fee may deter customers in search of a no-fee credit card. For potential card holders who want a card that minimises unnecessary costs, a credit card with no annual fee and no rewards scheme may be a better fit.

What RateCity says

The Suncorp Bank Gold card may be a sensible credit card for existing Suncorp customers who want to keep their banking under one roof, but offers little benefit to those who do not already bank with Suncorp. While this card has a reasonable rewards scheme that provides adequate variety, potential customers can likely find a similar rewards scheme with a card from their current bank. If you’re looking to keep your banking in one place, it may be best to contact your bank for current card offers.

The Suncorp Bank Gold credit card also has a relatively high international transaction fee, as well as a fee for overseas ATM use. As such, this card may not be appropriate for customers who need a card they can use on international holidays.

Applying/eligibility

Potential customers who want to apply for the Suncorp Bank Gold credit card must be at least 18 years old with a minimum annual income of $30,000. Applicants must also have a good credit rating. To apply, you’ll need to provide your contact and identification information, as well as your employment and financial details. You can apply online through a secure portal and save your application to be completed in several sessions.
